A young man coming from a troubled home begins to frequent shady characters. He falls in love with a lounge singer and in the process of trying to impress her, he finds himself on the wrong side of the law.

Trivia: The songs in this movie were written by the famous songwriting duo of Evans and Livingston. They were a three time Academy Award winner for Best Original Song and they wrote the memorable theme song for the Bonanza TV series. Mary Beth Hughes became TV's first celebrity weather girl, appearing on KTLA Los Angeles from 1953-1954.
