A down on his luck skipper meets two English girls (Elizabeth Hurley, Patsy Kensit) struggling to make a living in Gibraltar and agrees to take them to Barbados on his boat. During the four week cruise the skipper notes the unusually close relationship between the girls and eventually falls for one of them, leading to a disastrous ending.
Trivia: Elizabeth Hurley (Lou) was the spokesmodel for Estee Lauder, but she's best known for her long time relationship with actor Hugh Grant. Patsy Kensit (Su) was a child actor and lead singer in the successful 80s pop band Eighth Wonder. She's been married to three rock stars: Dan Donovan of Big Audio Dynamite, Jim Kerr of Simple Minds, and Liam Gallagher of Oasis. Juergen Prochnow (The Skipper) has appeared in well over 100 movies and TV shows, he starred in The English Patient (1996).
