A magazine editor by day and a socialite by night, Madeleine Damien (Hedy Lamar) leads an excessive lifestyle that leads her to seek the help of a psychiatrist. At his advice she changes her identity and moves to Greenwich village to pursue a career as an artist.
Trivia: Hedy Lamar has been called the most beautiful woman ever to appear in film. She's best known for playing Delilah in Cecil B. DeMille's 1949 film Samson and Delilah. She's less well known as the co-inventor of a technology that would become the basis for bluetooth and wi-fi. Director Robert Stevenson is well known for his work at Disney, where he directed a number of bonified hits (including Bedknobs & Broomsticks, The Love Bug, and Mary Poppins - for which he received a nomination for the Best Director Academy Award in 1964). Natalie Schafer (Ethel Royce) played Mrs. Howell in the Gilligan's Island TV series. Margaret Hamilton (Mrs. Geiger) played The Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz.
