A Greek father (Gilbert Roland) and his son Tony (Robert Wagner) are sponge divers off the Florida Gulf Coast when they come into conflict with Thomas Rhys (Richard Boone) and his boat fisherman. At the height of tensions Tony meets Rhys’ daugter Gwyneth (Terry Moore) and the two fall in love.
Trivia: The film was the third motion picture ever made in Cinemascope. It was nominated for Best Cinematography Oscar and the Palme d’Or at the 1954 Cannes Film Festival.
