Dan Brady (Mickey Rooney) has a date with a seductive blonde he's eager to impress (Jeanne Cagney) and he takes 20 dollars from the cash register at work, hoping to return it before anybody notices. But things quickly take a turn for the worse and the unfortunate Brady has to resort to more crimes in an attempt to extricate himself from his rapidly deteriorating situation.

Trivia: Mickey Rooney made his first film appearance at the age of six years old. Rooney was married eight times, his first wife was the actress Ava Gardner.
