Trivia: Director Tay Garnett was known for his work on both film and television, including The Postman Always Rings Twice (1946). Broderick Crawford (Russ Sampson), won an Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in All the King's Men (1949). The film is based on the novel Send Another Coffin by Frank Gill Jr.
